They have really good customer service for the most part here. The only reason for 4 star is because sometimes I will go here with my Dad and we order the same thing the Roast Beef, but the portion sizes are vastly different from plate to plate. I understand that meat is hard to cut, and a lot of people want the Roast Beef but it would be nice to get a mostly consistent slice of roast. Also two times I've ordered the Roast Beef I've gotten the very end piece, and a couple of times they've been out of the Roast Beef.
I must say I really enjoyed my trip. My girlfriend and i have had some doubts in the past but this time it was perfect. I had the waitress Jill, and she was great. I had a small discrepancy with my food but the managers came out immediately and offered to bring an extra side and more food. I declined of course because issues happen and that's not an excuse to be rude to people working hard and making a living. Thanks Jill and thank you staff of cracker barrell.
I like Cracker Barrel period. I like the atmosphere. The service was good. They had fire going. It smelled like grandma's house. I am not a fan of their breakfasts. So if you are looking for great breakfast go to famous toastery, but if you are looking for homy feeling and good southern comfort food like meatloaf and mashed potatoes....this is the place for you. Also...bathroom was very clean.
Lately, the service has been slow and the orders have been with errors. Been there twice this month and bad experience both times for breakfast. Eggs too runny, bacon overdone, and all items in ordered dish not served together. Not sure what the problem is because this place has always been good. Manager compensated for the mess up by giving us two meals on next visit. Perhaps it was because of the holiday crowds or staff issues.
The servers are very nice. The food is not as good as it once was. Portions are much smaller. My burger and fries had sat somewhere for a while and tasted.old. The server seemed to realize it and comped another vegetable. Much of the business at that location are seniors going to or from the doctors there so they are pressed to eat and go. I have enjoyed cracker barrel foods in the past. It would be wonderful to see them return to their previous quality and quantity.
