One of the nicest Econolodges in which I have stayed. New decor, comfortable beds, new HD TVs. Not a 5 only because the breakfast was minimal, but the coffee was very good! Very clean and the price was great!
Myself and two work mates were very disappointed in the quality of the Econolodge in Southern Pines. We entered the room and immediately smelled smoke and the air quality was low. The rooms felt dirty and the neighborhood was not safe. When we first checked in we dropped our bags and turned on the air conditioning to try and clear out the smell and went to dinner. When we came back hoping the smell was better it was just as bad and there was a fight going on in the apartment complex just on the other side of a hedge row fence from the hotel. We did not feel it was safe to stay and went to check out. Unfortunately we couldn't have a room refunded because we missed the five minute rule refund policy that the hotel had (because we first have it the benefit of the doubt and went to dinner). I would definitely not recommend anyone stay here unless you had nowhere else to go. However I will say that the nice Indian couple running the place were friendly but the hotel is still lower quality then was presented on the Google pictures or website.
They will charge your debit card TWICE for one night's stay then take FOREVER to give you YOUR money back. I was NEVER told they would do this. I will NEVER stay here again. Pay with cash and you won't have that problem. Plus their "continental breakfast" was anything but. I could have done better with a loaf of bread and a toaster. Save your hard earned money and your time and go somewhere else.
Not much different from any other place. Just a plain hotel. Very clean and neat. The attention is great.
Very happy with this hotel and services. Rooms were clean and the air condiotn worked great! Will visit again! Best hotel in Souther Pines and it's at a low price! :D
