This is a typical Rees Jones design - lots of mounding and sand. Tee choices give you lots of length choices, and course conditions are very good, although not excellent. However, the look and feel of the course, from the yardage markers (what few there are) to the signs around the holes to the layout itself (esp. the rough and OB areas) screams a 1960s course, even though it only opened in 1991. It is a good course to play if you have a discount card, but anyone who would pay more than $80 per round is throwing their money away and could play multiple courses as good or better within a short drive. My experience was particular miserable because my group was at the tail-end of 13 foursomes (yes, you read that right) who were playing excruciating slow, yet the marshal and course staff did nothing about it despite many complaints. Our round took over 6 hours to complete; when we complained at the end (which I have never done before), the clubhouse attendant just shrugged and said, "Sorry..." Lots of other fish in the sea, so I probably won't be back.
