My friend has been trying to get his wallet for five days now. It was dropped off Friday night after being left in Southern Pines. We couldn't get it Saturday or Sunday because they were closed (not even going on about how ridiculous that is). When we called to ask what time they were open they gave us the vague answer of “in the morning”. He then had to drive down Monday (he lives in Ashville) to get the wallet but as soon as he pulled up they (the police officers at the station) immediately left. He is now having to drive down to Southern Pines today for the 3rd time in 5 days to try to retrieve the wallet again. It’s honestly ridiculous. If we can’t rely on the Southern Pines police to do something as simple as to let a man retrieve his wallet, how can we rely on them to keep this town safe? Very disappointing.
