It was my first time shopping at IGA, there were at least four items I needed from the ad that was not available. The ad had ice cream cones " nutter buttter" and ice cream sandwich at 2 for $4. I ask one of the workers to assist me in finding the ice cream sandwich because I didn't see any, well neither did he. When I asked if I could get the on the stick which was also in the paper the guys said it's not on sale it's for advertisement purposes. Wow! I ask the cashier if they could honor the price because I need two but not the same thing and the other kind was not available, she couldn't do it. I asked to speak to the manage I politely explained the situation he said well the other stores have it but they don't, I asked if he could you please honor this item because they are almost the same as the one in the ad. I did not seeing this coming, his respond was so rude, they behind me said why do have to be so nasty about it?

Well there you have I left my supermarkets in pinehurst to try to support a small business, that's what I get, Never again IGA! I should have left all the other items too. I move to North Carolina in January this was my first negative encounter and I hope it will be the last. Overall I love it here, it's sad that someone was willing to lose a customer for $1.70 or so. Just wanted to share my experience, hopefully the manager sees this and learn from this, thanks for reading.
Good place for quick stops, always have the basics in stock. Employees are pleasant.

If you forgot that "one thing" and don't want to drive all the way to a bigger store this is the place. I also really like their meat department for the prices. I get a lot of my breakfast steaks there.
